Abstract:

This post presents a consolidated report on the pedagogical extension activities conducted at UNIFEI-Itabira throughout 2019. It highlights the publication of the "Abstract Book" resulting from the Workshop on Processing and Materials for Engineering, which documents student research and technical case studies. Furthermore, it details the outcomes of the Workshop on Steel Industry and the Workshop on Corrosion, held in June 2019. These sessions featured student-led presentations on critical industrial topics, including Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), supply chain optimization, wear analysis in mining, and corrosion protection for maritime and wind energy infrastructure. The activities demonstrate the effective application of active learning methodologies in engineering education.
